Remember those fun and cute little turkey Oreo cookies I made last year? Well I’m back this year with a much easier turkey cookie.
What you will need for these cute creatures:
Betty Crocker Cookie Icing in White and Brown
Candy Corn
M&M Minis (if you cannot find these, you can always use icing in another color)
Nestle Toll House Sugar Cookies
Directions:
1. We started off by baking batches of the sugar cookies. To save time we bought the break n bake type of cookies in the refrigerated aisle.
2. Once the cookies are out of the oven and cooled you can let the assembly process begin. We started with adding a strip of the white icing in a U-shape to the top of the cookie and placing the candy corn directly on top of the icing for the feathers.
Tip: We do suggest you using the Betty Crocker (or any other brand) of Cookie Icing, as this is a specific type of icing that will harden once it is set. This way you can package them as gifts or even stack them in cute containers.
3. Now lets give these turkeys some eyes. Place a dab of icing on the back of two M&M’s and voilà they have eyes!
4. To finish off these little fellas, we used brown icing for the beaks (we couldn’t find orange) and added the feet. For an added touch we dabbed two little dots on each M&M to make their eyes pop a little better.
And there you have it, cute and festive Turkey Cookies that you can make for this years Thanksgiving and even have the little ones join in on the fun with assembling.
