Lindsay Lohan In Court

I’m still debating whether this is even news-worthy. It definitely didn’t make me gasp and scream out “Oh No!”

Before we get into this, let me first ask you when is the last time a celebrity, female celebrity that is, has served a full-term sentence?  Khloe Kardashian was sentenced to 30 days for violating her probation on a DUI charge back in July of 2008, but released after 4 grueling hours. Paris Hilton was sentenced to 45 days in Lynwood Jail and served a mere 23 days, for violating probation in June of 2007, and released on good behavior. Nicole Richie served a massive 82 minutes at Lynwood Jail on a DUI charge in August of 2007. It was reported the than pregnant reality star was released early on her 4-day term due to jail overcrowding. Seeing a trend here or shall I continue?

Judge Sautner, which has been Lohan’s fifth judge since 2007, sentenced the actress to do 120 hours of janitorial services at a coroner’s office in April earlier this year. In addition, Sautner also felt it necessary to serve at a women’s shelter. ¬†This brings us to today’s report. Lilo failed to appear at the women’s shelter nine times, in result, violating her probation.

Just for fun, let’s tally up this Freaky Friday stars track record, since it’s getting a smidge hard to keep track of it all:

  • 2007 she fancied two times behind bars for drunken driving, and sent to rehab after each arrest. Lohan was convicted on her two DUI charges and sent to the infamous celebrity resort, I mean Lynwood Jail in California and released after 82 minutes.
  • In 2008-09 reports swirled about jewelry and clothing missing that Lohan used on photo shoots. No charges were ever filed.
  • In August of 2010 Lindsay was sent back to jail in violation of terms set with Judge Marsha Revel. Apparently Lohan’s SCRAM device was set off at an after party for the MTV Movie Awards. In more shocking news, the Women’s Century Regional Detention Facility, in where else other than Lynwood, California, released the starlet after only two weeks and immediately sent to 90 days in rehab.
  • In September 2010, Lindsay failed a court ordered drug test.
  • In October 2010, Lohan is sent back to rehab.
  • February 2011, she was accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace.

Lindsay Lohan Mugshots

I think that pretty much brings us up to speed. With all of that being said, please forgive me if the shock-value to Lohan returning to jail is lacking in appeal. Pun intended! I’m not even going to get into her spread in the soon-to-be-released Playboy issue. I wonder if Hugh Hefner stole a signature moment from SNL and dressed her up in a bright orange jumpsuit? Better yet, I wonder if they allow subscriptions in jail, if so her inmates could be in for a real Thanksgiving feast.

So let the bidding begin! How many of you think she will actually serve her 30 days of a 300 day sentence? Yea, me neither.
